Louisiana AAP
Our History & Purpose
The Louisiana AAP, previously known as the Louisiana AAP Foundation, was established on October 8, 2002 and is incorporated as a non-profit organization located in Baton Rouge. Its purpose is to address educational needs of pediatric health care providers; to educate parents and citizens regarding pediatric health concerns; and to conduct education-related projects related to pediatric health.

Scholarship/ Grant Opportunities
The Louisiana AAP Foundation offers three types of grants each year to Residents and Pediatric Programs. Each grant is available between July 1st and June 30th. To apply for any of the grants, please send correspondence to Ashley Politz at ashley.politz@laaap.org or mail to P.O. Box 64629 Baton Rouge, LA 70896. Please include your name, institution, grant you are applying for, description of the activity and a budget.
- Resident International Scholarship
Two, $500 grants are available each year to help residents who choose to study abroad. - Resident Activities Grant
Four, $500 grants are available each year. Each Residency program is allowed to apply for one grant. - Pediatric Interest Group Grant
Four, $500 grants are available each year. Each Residency program is allowed to apply for one grant.
