Provider Memo: Fee for Service DME Pharmacy Requirements
As of January 1, 2011, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires pharmacies enrolling in Medicare to either obtain DME accreditation or file for an accreditation exemption in order to provide DME equipment or supplies. Fee for Service Medicaid will also require this same information to bill DME equipment or supplies.
